+1 that is true, but unless you have an intake that draws air from outside the engine compartment, the air won't be that cold for too long.
True, but if you have a few seconds to heat air that's 20*, it'll still be colder than air that had the same amount of time to warm up but started at 80*. When you start with colder air it will still heat up, but not to the same level as air that was already hot. Therefore, there will still be a difference. I'll have to take a look at that article though

actually its harder to vaporize fuel with colder air....so your engine runs richer with colder air. In the warmer air its way easy to turn the fuel into a vapor so your ecu doesn't inject as much fuel. Thats basically it lol. You guys are crazy...haha.

That is assuming the fuel did not change as well.
Winter fuel would vapor lock in the summer heat.
Summer fuel would be tougher to cold start in the winter.

Fuel economy will change as a result of seasonal fuel changes.

well i got my car in late december and got about 12-14 mpg with mixed driving. and thats about 150 miles to a tank. that was also with temperatures in the teens most of the time. now the temps are 40's-70's (thats illinois for ya) and still with mixed driving im gettin 15-16 mpg, and 175 miles to a tank! havent done any modding to the car for a while, and havnt really change my driving style. Not that i am complaining about all this but i was just kinda curious. any ideas?
Damn bro., thats poor, Im pushin like 320 on a full tank, and when i fill up only fit 14 gallons in, so im actully running 320 miles on roughly 14 gal. considering car has 15.4 gal. tank, Anyway i think my cars doing better in the warmer weather too, considering it would take my about 20 minutes(5country drving/15highway) before id be warmed up to 190-which sucked.

I hope all of you guys are CALCULATING your mpg by dividing miles driven by actual gallons used (read from the pump), and not ESTIMATING based on miles per tank.

I calculate my fuel economy, and I can see +/- 5 mpg or so based on variables I have little to no control over.
The estimation method will make mpg comparisons tough to make...
