Default Adjustable FPR

I am getting ready to fire my engine and I just put on a new FPR...I was wondering how I adjust the pressure for first fire up. I bumped the key a few times and the gauge reads 30lbs. Also, when I adjust it while it is running, do I do it with the vacume on or off? Thanks

Just leave it where it is at, start it up, and adjust it to 42 PSI with the vacuum disconnected, then reconnect your vacuum.

What would determine if he needs to adjust it up or down?Won't his computer just adjust the pulse width to compensate for the added or decreased fuel pressure (on a stock tune)?

I'm 99.9% sure that stock is 42 with vacuum disconnected.
