What about Royal Purple sythetic tranny stuff any good news out of that... I know they have a advertisment where they simply changed the oil, atf, and gear oil and added like 8hp...

Threequestions:
Do you happen to have a picture of where to put the fluid in (still learning - )
How smooth should shifting feel?
Should I hear any noise when I go into the gear?

RE: Clutch (Hard Shifting)
i don't have a pic right now but i may beable to find one floating around the web...
shifting should not me notchy, and driving normal it should be nice and easy
what kinda noise are u refering to? mine makes a slight noise into 2nd but i know why it does it, but no there shouldn't be any noticable noise, if u listen close u might hear a faint noise but nothing that should be concerning

RE: Clutch (Hard Shifting)
Right now it's not smooth, but that could be because I need fluid.
I will have to drive it with the radio turned off and listen to it above the exhuast and see if I can describe the noise. I might just record the noise - :P
I'll get some fluid and add it in and see what happens. I can try to search for a picture on the web but no idea what to search for.
I will say this, sometimes I have gotten it to go into the gear easily (as the saying goes like butter), it just slides in.
Thanks for the help.

ugh, mines the same way, fluid is new, clutch is fine, cable is fine, I guess the synchros are messed up[:@] cant shift without a pause right before it goes into gear then it pops right in with abit of force, 5th gear is impossible to shift into and forget about reverse[:@]

I hope my syncrhos aren't messed up.
How much does it cost for a rebuild?

RE: Clutch (Hard Shifting)
I had this same problem with my 1990 5.0 coupe that I just bought. After I read this on Friday I went home and drained the 1 quart of fluid that was left in the trans and refilled it with synchromesh. It now shifts awesome. Thanks for the great advice 94gtcoupe.
