Yea its opening. New water pump also. I just removed the original fan when i did the H/C/I swap and it was cooling good. I got underdrives but i wouldn't think that'd be my problem. IDK

The aftermarket fans quite often don't pull enough CFM to keep up with the needs of the cooling systems....you are best off with a good OEM fan like the taurus mark 8 or sn cars.

I just put my flex a lite on and its getting hot... The fan works fine but when it comes on it stays on till after i shut the car off and let it sit a while. If i keep driving it, it just gets hotter. I put a 180 thermostat in it. I bought it used and it came with no directions or hardware so i installed it directly in the center of the radiator.. Maybe thats whats wrong... I'm not to happy with my results but its probably the way i installed it... Anybody know?
Make surethe fan isturning in the correct direction.
(air flow pulling through the rad back to the motor)not the other way.

When I first put my double fans on it was doing the same thing, I bought a new tstat and a bottle of water wetter by redline. Filled her back to the top with water and she runs cool as ever.

i got the flex alite 3300cfm puller

once my car hits 190 i can hear the fan kick on and at an idle or goin 90 down the highway it dosnt pass 190

mine also turns on if the car is off. im only keeping it like that because high mileage mustangs tend to not like repeated warm starts.

I have mine going off if I turn the engine off, but I wired a Switch in series that will turn the fan on and stay on with the engine off. This way if I want to cool the engine down or the thermastat switch dies I can kick them on myself.
