I have toyo proxes 4 tires on my stang... 245/50/16 in the back, 225/50/16 in the front.
i like them a lot. they look good too

nittos are on the cheaper end of drag radials.
i had some cooper cobras on my 95 when i bought the car and never replaced them in the 3yrs i had the car and still could grab tread. that was after several donuts hard launches and burnouts. they don't do much for traction but did last a while
my next suggestion would be some nexons. when i had my girls saleens on my car i noticed a good amount traction comparted to my stock stuff
