JUST GOT A 302
I just got a stock 302 block used. Two pistons are kinda missed up they both have metal shaving in them for sum reason. But the guy I bought it from said that thereis a TFS stage 1 cam in it how would i kno for sure that its a TFS stage 1whenI take it out and Looking at it is there a way? Also it came wit only six arp studs on it how do I get those out to put new ones in there. One more question the pistons move ok im planing on rebuilding the whole entire engine but if the block was broken i would be able to tell from the outside rite just askin want to be sure. By the way I got the block for 300 just sharin the info

RE: JUST GOT A 302
the cam will have a part number stamped on one of the ends.... probably the back
sometimes you can visually see cracks in the block if there is any - but you should have have your local machine shop magnaflux it when you drop it off for cleaning and boring, decking, and cam bearing installation (you ARE going to bore it, aren't you??)
get your crank reground, rods reconditioned and USE NEW ARP WAVELOC 5/16 ROD BOLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the studs should have allen head indentations on the ends or something - should be easy enough to figure out.
