Won't he lose alot of acceleration once at highway speeds like for passing if he goes with the 4.10?

no, he'll just lose top speed. your car pulls harder at high speeds with a 4:10, btu the top speed is limited.

so let me get this straight...if you are planning to put in a supercharger on your car, 4.10s wouldnt be a good choice? why not? why would you go lower then?

i know cause im there 4.10's + 28" dr's + 125shot = 11.51 trapping 5500rpms. and nitrous pulls your peak power down4-600 rpms . my peak power is 4000rpms. damn stock longblock[:@]

also, w/ a blower you are in your powerband for a longer time, the hp curve is up, runs across for a while b4 it drops, so you don't "need" the gear to get there.

a 5-speed blower car likes 3.27or 3.55 depending on the rest (higher hpwants lower numerical gear)

the whole idea is using leverage to get your car in the powerband and keep it there

This might be a stupid question to ask but will 4.10 gears make your cars temperature climb since after all at highway speeds you all say that its running at a higher RPM... or will any bigger gears do that? Im just wondering because my car constatly runs at about 3/4s of the temp.... sometimes at peak!
