Default 96 and under no emissions!

So one of my buddys today heard a rumor that 96 and under cars dont have to pass emissions anymore so he went to a exhuast shop around here and they were handing out flyers saying thats true.so mycats are comin of for sure. i was woundering if anyone eles has heard this?

that sounds like kid i kno said that any car with cam work is emissions exempt.[8D] I laughed at him for a good while

having cam work making you emissions exempt is rediculous but i saw the flyer from the mechanic about 96 and under so i believe it.

We may start seeing this in other states over the next several years.

The thinking is that the cost won't be worth the benefit, as older cars aren't that plentiful on the roads, and new cars are getting cleaner and cleaner.

I think I read that in 2010 or 2015 Washington is planning on ditching all emissions testing.
We'll see if they follow through though...

yuh, I don't see cali looseing up any time soon. They now want to sue the car manufacturers of the world for pollution... I'm so glad I left cali.. [:'(]

hmmm interesting...yea in West Virginia we have absolutely NO emissions laws that I know of. All ya do is get the car inspected every year for things like working headlights/taillights, windsheild wipers, and turn signals and u can blow as much smoke as ya want...
