HELP! DID MY CLUTCH CABLE BREAK??!
Ok this is my first manual trans car ...but i've been drivin it for just about a year now..lovin every minute..and i've had a few minor issues here and there...but today its something new..
...so i go to start my car and push the clutch in and it starts.. i shift to neutral to let her warm up a minute. Then after ...i press the clutch in again and heard a loud crunch, now the pedal is realloose(the engine is still runningfine)...i turn it offand checkedthe clutchquadrant.. it seems to be still intacked with the cable still attached....theres still some resistance but not much really...i havnt looked at it muchfurther...
..next direction anyone?? and $$??
THANKS!

What adder said, now is the perfect time to scoop up the Maximum Motorsport cable and quadrant kit. You'll never break the quadrant again and the cable will last for ages

RE: HELP! DID MY CLUTCH CABLE BREAK??!
could you put it into gear?
i think the clutch will just fall to the floor if you snapped the cable, my brothers done it twice
but your best bet is to get another cable and quadrant
BTW to put in the quadrant COMFORTABLY (if your a fatass like moi) your gonna have to take the seat out, and put a peice of foam to cover the front bolts (trust me, i learned the hard way)
anyway, good luck
