I ran 91 Octane Chevron Only in my 94 5 L- on an advance of 11 degrees, meaning stock 10+11. It made a noteable difference and i actually ran it like that for 6 months without any knock. As of this past weekend, I'm now I'm running an In-Tank 10% Methanol mix with 91 Chevron on another 5 degrees of advance. I'm not sure of any difference between my '94 gt and your car though...

Second, if you really think running 26 degrees of base timing plus, the stock advance, is giving you any kind of power... You must be on some seriously hardcore drugs, or just plain ****ing stupid. Put your timing back down to 12 degrees base timing and run 89 octane. I'd put money on the car making more power
