AOD Trans won't shift

RE: AOD Trans won't shift
I had an AOD once in a truck, kinda done the same thing as yours. They have the govenor in the tail part of the tranny. Run it up to about 30-35mph and throw it into reverse and then back into drive. This shocks the governor valve and will free any trash that might be in the govenor body. It can be done on jack stands if you fell like jacking it up. I know it sounds like a crack head idea, but I had a mechanic show me in my own vehicle. And it did do what he said, when I left his shop, the old tranny hit all 4 gears as it was meant to be.
