Default Mass Air

I have an '86 coupe 5.0, i NEED to put mass air on it before i do any major engine upgrades, i'm just curious what brand/size, i plan on doing a cold air kit and throttle body at the same time, and all the same sizes to keep things smooth. What do you guys think would be best? Future gt-40 or twisted wedge heads, and a new RPM 2 intake.

Thanks

I bought the 76mm kit from C+L for about 189.00. The kit was awesome. It can be calibrated for different injector sizes so make sure you get it for the size injectors you have or plan on getting. They can be recalibrated for about 30.00 so no big deal if you change injectors in the future. As far as converting to mass air do yourself a favor and get a rebuilt computer from a parts store, trust me, the headaches you will save from getting a junkyard one with no warranty. However go to the junkyard and get 4 wires directly from the factory plug at the computer so they will just push right in to your plug and fit the way they are supposed to. If you pull the red plastic piece out the wires come out pretty easily. You can find a diagram in a repair manual or the net as to where the 4 new wires go. I did the conversion in about an hour so it's not too bad. Dont waste your money on a 25 dollar plug you can make for free yourself.

I never ran mine so I have no idea my E.T. My 357 only has 200 miles on it and I am on my third T-5 so I am a little leary to race that combo right now, maybe someday! Any other questions about mods feel free to ask, I have done everything you can imagine and I am cheap so I can give you the most economical way to do something if it exists. Dave

You have a 357 and you're still running a T-5?!? You are brave, my friend.
