Default possible trans/clutch problem

Ok so If driving normal and shifting at low rpm's there is no grinding whatsoever, but if im in first and punch it and try to shift into 2nd at high r's it will either grind or not go into gear at all. 2nd is the only gear that does it. But only when I shift up. no grinding on my downshifts? what do you think it could be. The clutch is kinda bad, when I try to pop the clutchit will slip bad in first. So maybe I need a new clutch? that would be the best case scenario.let me know. thanks

clutch engages close to the floor. and yes only when shifting hard. Also it sometimes wont go into reverse and I have to pump the clutch and then it will go in fine

cassidy no more giving advice about transmissions for you... seriously

our clutches dont have fluid, their cable driven... and there is no check in the engine bay... thats only an auto car, and checking the trans. fluid level.....

does it only do it in 2nd? never any other gear? are you sure u hit the floor w. the clutch when shifting? i have a feeling that either you arent pushing the clutch all the way when shifting, and that caused ur syncro to wear out(if it just started u might be ok, but some changes are gonna have to happen) or if its not just 2nd, ur fluid MAY be low.. and i mean trans fluid... w. any trans problem, esp if u dont no much about them thats what you wanna check 1st, the fluid level. which btw you check on the trans. pass side, fill hole up top, remove it(3/8 ratchet extension) and make sure fluid is to the bottom of the hole

yeah I practically push it through the floor. lol still doesnt help. Ill check the fluid and fill it if its low. To be honest and I dont know what I was thinking earlier. It doesnt grind at all except for reverse. It just wont go into 2nd gear at high rpm. Thats it. no other gear no other problem.Do you think the clutch is junk? I bought this car about a year ago and probably put like 600 miles on it. I dont know how long that clutch has been in it.
