Mark VIII fans blow more air but are thicker, harder to find, and more expensive when you do.

That seems to be the prefered method. I am going to use a relay and a toggle switch for now because it is stuff I have in the garage.

install is a breeze.

10g wire from start solenoid to fan thru 40amp relay from Orielley's
12g wire from relay to switch source.
mine just stays on all the time with key, but have a switch under radio to turn
it off if I want to.

I bought a thermostat for my taurus fan for $20 and hooked up the"high" speed of the fanto it. I then took the "low" speed of the fan and wired it directly to a lightedswitch inside the car so that if I wereto have any problems with thethermostat or the wiringI could still turn the fan on from inside the car. Also when the "high" speed of the fan comes on,the light on my switch inside the car illuminates telling me that the thermostat is working correctly and none of my wires are melting.(had a problem with that when I firstput it in) Make sure you use high guage wiring and a 30amp in-line fuse!

Whichever one you feel more comfortable installing in your engine bay. The Mark fan blows stronger but takes up a bit more room and needs to be trimmed.

Anyone ever use a relay like the White-Rogers # 70-111224-5 instead of a 75 amp Bosch relay? The WR relay has 80 continuous amps & looks like a starter relay. www.grainger.com is where you can find it.
