damn, i saw a how to oh removeing your air silencer on a mustang 4.6 so i figured it would be the same on my 5.0. i was right it took me like 1 min. but its 1am and i cant start it up to hear it because my parents are sleeping. now i wont beable to sleep all night. haha ohwell

how do you remove the silencer?

well first unclip the 2 clips that hold the air intake cover to the air tube thing.

then unscrew the 1 screw that holds the cover to the car. (it is on the left bolted to the fender)

then reach under the cover and you will feel a rubber tube, you can just pull it off of the plastic cover it will take a little pulling to get it out but it isnt hard.

then just put everything back how it was. be carefull you dont unplug anything while your doing it.

sorry for the retard directions but it should make sence. this is for a 95 gt but should work for any year.

i just took it out and i couldnt tell a gain at the idle but when i floored it i could tell it had a louder nicer sound and it semed like it reved slighty faster at low rpms.

but this is with a nasty old air filer when i get my KN air fileter i bet it ill be much better. i highly recomend this free mod.
