Well with a fresh 302, AFR165 heads, and the E303 that you have, along with all the supporting mods (70mmTB, 75mm MAF, Trick Flow up/low intakes, 1.6 Scorpion roller rockers, FPR, CAI, etc.) my 91 made over 320HP and 350ft lbs. after a day spent on the dyno tuning it... A tune will do wonders, and heads and intake make the difference.

FYI: before the dyno tune, it dyno'd 287hp and 321ft. lbs. I picked up 30+ hp, and 30+ Tq. just in a good tune.

your HP ratings are lowered from shorter gears although your 1/4 time will improve. That is odd to see only 207whp with that many mods.
I wouldnt hardly consider anything he has done, much of a mod... with the exception of the cam

I made more HP with less done to my car.
thats why cobras are badass... they actaully have a heads that u can work with... hell u could leave hte cam and intake and just get the heads ported on a cobra and i dont see why u wouldnt get 300rwhp... with bolt ons like exhuast of course.... adder didnt u get 275ish with a couple bolt ons and a nice tune??

i wouldnt say u have low hp for you mods tho... a tune might help but not much... those stock heads are eating u alive.... get new ones asap... AFR arent bad.... trick flows are over rated from what i hear... just look around.... edlebrocks arent to bad... holleys are pretty good too.... or get ported gt-40s

ok thnx guys. so i got a bout a grand to spend right now. whats gonna be the best bang for buck? i can get a used street heat intake for 400 so that would leave me with 600. id much rather save for a new or used set of aluminum heads but someone sent me a link to the thumperoforangepark.com website that ports E7's. any ideas? thanks

listen carefully....

**** E7 HEADS!

now that we cleared that up... www.tristatecylinderhead.com sells remanufactured GT-40P heads with larger valves and MINOR port work for ~$600. You should do that and get an explorer GT-40 intake.

rear gear ratio is added into the dyno's math for correction

if i run the P heads dont i need headers designed for the P's because of spark plug placement or something like that? i found a set of used afr 185's online for a grand, for 400 bucks more what hp difference would i see (if the right intake man. was used, not my stocker)?
