Good, cheap brake upgrade?

RE: Good, cheap brake upgrade?
I put the 73mm calipers on the front of my car, and i noticed it likes to nose dive more, it feels as if there is too much front bias.
If you upgrade the fronts, upgrade the rears.
If you upgrade the fronts, upgrade the rears.

If you don't mind going 5 lug go with the sn-95, its pretty cheap cause used parts, You can then get cobra calibers and 13" rotors for $300 from buyfordracing.com

I'll be the first one to say the factory fox brakes do suck but I suspect your car has a problem.
All upgrading will do is prevent fade when you overheat your stock stuff.
The factory stuff should lock up the front tires. Are yours powerful enough to do that?

If youre not wanting to spend much money, and keep the 4 lug, i have a few suggestions.
Get slotted rotors. There are rumors about drilled rotors cracking, i run drilled and slotted rotors, and havnt seen it, but the possibility is still there.
Get braided stainless lines. Get the full set, front two, and the rear center. The rear center isnt terrible to replace, i just did the one on my 86.
Get some of maximum motorsports stainless steel caliper bushings.
Buy a GOOD set of pads. I put 110 dollars worth of pads on my turbo coupe (4 wheel disk). I run Satisfied GR5's on the front of my bird. Sourced them from tire rack.
As odd as it sounds, a set of performance shocks and struts. If you jab the brakes, and it nose dives, its putting all of the weight on the front, and none in the rear.

I put the cheap summit cross-drilled rotors and good quality ceramic pads on mine and noticed an immediate improvement over stock... Cost me all of $120.... It doesn't stop like an IRL car or anything (maybe not even as good as an SN), but its way better.
