lost time
1989 LX, stock short block(cut pistons), AFR 185 heads, Trick flow track heat intake, comp cams XE274 cam, Mac 70mm tb, Pro-M 80mm mass air, AFM power pipe, 30lb. injectors, C-4 tranny, 4.10 gears, Lak. 90/10 struts-50/50 shocks, pro stick, home made subframes, BFG drag radials.
I ran 7.80 in the eighth before i did any suspension work. Now I can only get to 8.0. I have not been to the track in about 18 months before last weekend and did the work this past winter. I don't understand why it wasn't quicker than before. Any help? I also swapped from a c&l 73mm to the pro-m 80mm and added the power pipe at the same time. I was hoping at least 7.50. 42psi fuel, 20 degrees timing. What could be the problem?

RE: lost time
Think I should go with slicks. The drag radials have just now started losing the tread. On my previous set they were just started to get good when they lost the tread. I messed with the pressure. I got down to 15lbs. and it just did chirp the tires off the line.

RE: lost time
Slicks could shave .2 tenths in the 1/8th easily. Also what are your 60fts before and after. A lot of things can affect your 1/4, track prep, outside temp, humidity, elevation, air density. Running at 2 different tracks can change your times.
