i was driving to a friends house tonight and when i got there and turned the car offi notice a flow of some liquid coming from the front of my car. i could not tell the color of it because it was dark out. on my way home i noticea squeek of some kind that i think happens when i turn the wheel and also a smell that smells kinda like burning rubber inside the car. any ideas as to whats causing this??

can a belt cause leaking tho?? and i was also thinking power steering but it wasnt any harder to turn the wheel

Probably not but if oil is leaking on the belt it will cause both problems.

Is it a squeal or more like a whine.

If it is a whine look at power steering.

i wouldnt call it a whine its when i turn the wheel.. like its not lubricated or something. there was alot of fluid coming out from under the car

Yes your belt is leaking.

My first guess was the p/s pump to. Check the fluid then get down under and look around for wet spots. Keep in mind that any liquid will be blown around by the fan so any drip you see may not be from the same place you found it. Not sure why youd be smellin rubber. Only time i do is when the tires are gettin toasted. Check your belt anyway to be sure.

my question is did you have your ac on? when you have your ac on it pump out water and leaves a big puddle under your car
