how much is a dial indicator... i am going to try and find a article online for gear install. that seems crazy to pay someone 200 to do it. i might give it a try.

unless u know what ur doin have somebody do it. wrong backlash will give u a nice freeway vibration.

new bearings and shims. Just get a gear install kit. round 80 bux i think.

found a guy that does it here for 200...... but every where is diffrent.. i have seen up to 800 for gear swap... the guy hear is charging me $350 gears parts and everything included...

Yea, I'm getting a used stock carrier, 3.90 gears all new bearings and seals, and used axles for 485. thats with labor included.

The highest I've seen around me is 300 for a basic gear install. But the payoff is still worth that though.

Well one of my dads friends did it for me in Va and he charged 150 and i got the gears, lube, and install kit for 311 bucks so i dont think that was bad all in all for the cost. Especially after they were installed my car really woke up and i was beatin cars that had beat me by 2 or three cars before i had them installed. The payoff for them is def worth the money paid to do it
