the car gets hot it's not in the red but its well above half way, so i should run the car till it gets warm and then fill the radiator back up. i had someone tell me to remove the radiator cap and let the car idle with the cap off and that will let the air out and just fill it back up and alsoput some coolant in the resevoir is this right i was kind of scared to do this.

an even cheesier way of doing it is take the rad cap off and start the car. Then while it is warming up it will start to suck up the fluid and drain your rad. Then you slowlykeep filling you rad too near the topuntil it starts to overflow and quikly put the cap back on then your done

As your filling it, when its almost full, with the rad car off, squeeze the upper hose. Youll see bubbles coming out of the rad. Keep filling it and squeezing your hose .lol. Once its full and you cant get any more air bubbles out, start the car and let it run until the thermostat opens, youll see the coolant circulating in the rad. Then fill as neccessary. Also, remember when you add cold coolant itll close the t-stat for a short while.
