Synthetic oil for a Crown Vic
Would you guys say its worth it to switch over to synthetic oil for my Crown Vic?
Is there anything that I need to watch out for that I wouldn't have to with conventional oil?
What synthetic oil would you suggest I use with my Crown Vic?
If it is important, it is a 1989 LTD Crown Victoria LX with the 5 liter V8.
Sorry for all the questions, I don't really knowanything about synthetic oil.

RE: Synthetic oil for a Crown Vic
if it has more than 75000 miles and isnt in perfect condition you should not use synthetic. it will begin to open up any weak seals that you might have. switching to synthetic should be done early in the life of an engine.

RE: Synthetic oil for a Crown Vic
My Crown Vic has about 393,000 Miles and has been using Motorcraft 10W-30 Synthetic Blend for at least 170,000 miles of that. Don't use the full synthetic because it will seep out either by burning it or leaking it.
