Marine 351W? Thats two different engines there. A 'Marine' is usally the 351M/400, then theres the 351W. The M uses a bb bell, the W uses a sb bell. The M is also taller than a W. Im a lil confused since the post is labeled Marine 351 but in the post says 351W.

umm i have never seen a 351M marine motor. im sure they exist, but that is not common (lets not forget they havent even made M series motors in over 25 years)
ford marine motors are usually 302's, 351w's, 460's, or occasionally you'll see an aluminum block 4 cyl with a single head from a 460 on it. (weird eh?)

No problems converting to EFI, all of the electrical from a 302 will fit. You'll need stuff like a new distributor, new lower intake (and upper, for that matter), etc. but it's not hard

they do reotate backwards, I called my uncle (huge baat guru), He said if u change the distributer and the gear on the cam it will run fine. He also said marine engines are more "heavy duty" He lives in maine, I guess all the guys that race on the circle track by his house all run marine engines. GOOD LUCK. let us know how it turns out..
