AFR 185 piston/valve clearance issue?
I have heard that because of the huge 2.02" intake the angle of the valve that the AFR185s intake valve will tap the piston. I am not sure of this or heard of any kind of comfirmation that this is the case with my year and stock cam.
but i did come up with an idea, if in the case i get the AFR 185s and need to install them because this is my daily driver, could i perhaps decrease the valve lift by getting 1.5 rockers just for now so the car can be driveable? what would be an easier solution? IF there is valve/piston tap at all.

get out your dremel and open up the reliefs...take cotton and run it around the piston to hold shavings then use a shop vac to pull up the cotton and shavings..nothing to it..takes about an hour

RE: AFR 185 piston/valve clearance issue?
i would be reluctant to do this because if i dont remove the same exact amount of material on each piston the rotating assembly will not be balanced anymore. i think increasing the depth of the reliefs should be professionally done and in that case i dont wanna pay more for that!!! does anyone else have first hand experience with the AFR 185 heads and a 5.0???

it this engine balanced?..if it's a stock rotation it isn't even close....where not talking about all on metal..don't be sheeerrrd to do this...1.90 valve is all your going to get on stock pistons.....
