Default My new ride!

1995 Mustang, Carbed V8 302, running.

I drove it about half way home, then it shut down. I didn't try to drive it farther because I didn't want to blow a head gasket.. the cooling system isn't working very well, so it overheated the engine.

The problems:
-Trans is ****ed. Won't shift out of first gear. It's an AOD-E, and so with the setup it's got right now (carb 302 with no PCM), it's no wonder its ****ed up. The good thing is, my uncle has a transmission for me. Its an AOD he built and ran in one of HIS mustangs a while back. I'm no expert on Ford **** (yet), but my uncle is, and he told me it's going to bolt right up. So the transmission thing is taken care of.
-Cooling system isn't working properly. Clutch fan doesn't clear the hood, radiator is ****ed (leaking coolant, spewing it everywhere). Need replacements for both of those.
-Gauges not working. The voltmeter works, but that's it. Not sure why this is, but i'll have to chase it down.
-Distributor is loose. The cap turns a little bit.. I need a new middle piece and probably some new clamps, then I'll have to figure out the timing and ****.
-No power steering right now
-A bunch of other little ****
-It's dirty

It's a carbed 302 out of a 93 Mustang. They did an OK job with the swap (the body origionally had a V6 EFI) but it's a little nig rigged.

Here's to the start of a long project, with many problems i'm sure to find along the way. It will be a fun one! Lots of little stuff to take care of.

$1100. My mom paid for half for my birthday, and I paid for the other half. The title is in my name, and i'm paying for everything. I plan on dropping the trans, rebuilding it and selling it eventually.. pulling the motor and testing the fuel pressure, oil pressure, etc.. re-sealing the whole thing, painting it, etc. dropping it back in, and getting this bitch up and running!

Engine has 89,000 on it.
