Default upper torque box reinforcements, how necessary??

i ordered the lowers and uppers for 100 bucks and already put the lowers in because the boxes were getting tweaked and cracked. the uppers are a pain in the a** because it looks like my exhaust has to come off and the bolts are rusted. i inspected the upper boxes and they look perfect. has anyone had any trouble with these bending or cracking??

Wow, that's cheap. I paid 400 (adjustable tho). Back to your original question. I would replace the uppers also. Helps a ton with wheel hop and basic hooking up. I just looked at my old ones and weren't bent but they were rusted. The bolts sucked to get out but imo, it's worth it

i studied the upper reinforcements a bit and it seems like they only reinforce them from getting compleatly ripped off. as far as side to side bending from torque, they dont seem to help. thats why i did not want to go through the trouble

Haha, ok, my bad. I follow you now! The only time i've heard of those tearing is when you start putting serious power to it ie 500 or so. I have 300/305 to mine and have had no problems what so ever.

Really easy to do. You can do it w/ hand tools assuming nothing is seized together.
