Underdrive Pulley Options

Underdrive Pulley Options
I'm looking at getting an underdrive pulley kit, and was wondering about the choices available to me. I've heard Steeda's are the best, for around $200. Just wondering how others compare? At Summit, for my car they list BBK, Trickflow, and Summit pulley kits, (as well as Motorvation and AutoSpecialties, though I've never heard of either brand so I'm probably going to stay away from those). Are they all relatively comparable as far as HP gain? How are some better than others?
The BBK/Trickflow/Summit pulleys are all around $100, so they're about half the price of the Steedas. Also, I can't seem to find the Steeda's for my car. '84 Mercury Capri, 4BBL w/o A/C.
Thanks

I have ASP aluminum pullies on my car and they work great, I did have to put an ASP overdrive alternator pulley on to keep the charge up at idle though. They made a power difference Icould feel in the top end.

I'm probably going to shoot for the Summit ones then, not a bad price.
What are "piggy-back" pulleys, and why should I stay away from them? I've only heard "don't get piggy-back pulley's", but have never found an explantion.
And are the summit pulley piggy-back style?
Thanks for the quick responses!

don't waste your time with them. Its not worth the minimal hp gain and having your car not start cause the battury is dead. I've heard that an alternator pully from a 1993 cobra will work well in keeping the battury charged but good luck finding one.

they are all the same really... pulley size cant be changed that much so the difference is minimal between the few.... get the cheapest ones... if u wait a little while ill sell u mine for 50 bucks... they are powdercoated red...
