Default 15x10 6.5" BS Weld Prostars MT Drags 26x10x15 need a lil info

guys i bought some weld prostars 15x10 with 6.5" BS like everyone says that fit good and mounted up some MT Drags 26x10x15 on em, currently i have 17x9 03 cobras with nitto 555r 275/40/17s on my 89 gt vert, i took quads off a long time ago, i have MM uppers and lowers, and panhard bar, along with H&R race springs which dropped it a inch or two, well i had to massage the inner fender just a lil bit to get the nittos under there,,

well yest i put on the prostars and slicks and seemed like they were a lil tighter fit, i pulled them off and massaged the hell outta my inner fender which gave me a lil more room,

has or does anyone currently run the 15x10 with 6.5" BS and the 26x10x15 slicks on their fox bodies????? have you had any issues with rubbing? how much beating did you have to do?? any info would help thanks guys

I have 15x8 welds on the rear with mt 275 50 15 drag radials and had to remove quads andaround crners it rubs like crap my plans are to but the 1/4 spacers maximum motorsports sells and put a MM pan hard bar to reduce rear sway as I don't want to beat on my inner wells.

you can beat the **** outta the inner fenders no problem just curious who has my size adn if they are rubbing, i got at least a finger or so all around so i think i should be fine, more than i had with my nittos

most people run a 15x8 because a 15x10 is overkill. wider wheels arent going to do anything for you aside from causing clearance issues, you should have just bought some 15x8x5.5's

I got some 15X9 with 5 and half inch backspace drage lites and had mt drag slics 28 x10.5 and the tire caught my inner wheel well and tore the tire apart on the sidewall i was going to get the 26 x 10 but the section width is the same 11.7 so i am probably going to get a 26 x 11.5 hoosier cheater slic because the section width is 11.0 and still has a 10 inch tread.

did a bunch of research on em and seems like people cant decide between the 15x9s or the 15x10s so i went with the 15x10s they fit good just a lil snug i did some beating with the hammer and i think they will be fine, only one way to figure that out, good thing these are used slicks

Agree. And 1 thing I have never understood is why ppl mount a 10" wheel w/ a tire that will easily fit an 8" rim w/o and problems. Makes no sense.

To the question at hand. The guys I know running the 10" weld are using a small spacer to push the wheel outward just a hair to gain the clearance needed for the inner wells. If the car is lowered, forget about it.

Its because the tire gets more contact with the ground then it would on an 8 inch rim. A slick is gonna have more tread width than a mt et street

Ruger to get them to fit without rubbing your really gonna have to massage the inner fender well
