Default 5.0L in 2000 stang...possible?

i need to know if a 5.0L conversion is possible for a 2000 mustang, and if so, what all would need to be replaced in order for the conversion to be successful

Possible? Yes. If you have loads of money to spend go ahead. But why not a 4.6?

You can put a newer motor in a older car but not the other way around its not emission compliant

Mod engines are much bigger than Windsor V8s, it shouldnt be THAT hard.....electrical would be the biggest problem. To JZ......screw emissions, if the engine kicks ***, whats the problem? I think an FE-powered Fox would be sweet, but it isnt "emissions compliant", so..........screw emissions?

so what all would you have to do in order for it to fit besidesreplace the motor mounts and E.C.U. a late model 5.0 say out of a 91-93 fox would bolt up to a t5 transmission right? as far as electrical, could you just take the E.C.U. out of a fox mustang and use it? what else would need to be replaced?, anything in the driveline?

You need to use the wire harness, ECU, and all accesories from the 5.0. I do not think the trans from a 4.6 will bolt up, unless you change the bell housing. We did this on the NMRA R/S car that I helped build. The car bought as a "body in white" from Ford, no drive train or anything and all the 5.0 stuff went right in.

Yeah it possable! Seen it done, something about older sn95 harness. Can't remember. His right the biggest prob will be the wiring !
You will need new motor mounts theyneed to be moved /relocated but thateasy. and you will need a new bellhousing conversion plate .But i would go with a Aod
