Default H-pipe question

I put some off road h-pipes on my stang, (sounds AMAZING). But I once heard of a way to fool the computer to not have the check engine light on cause of the cats. Anyone know?

if you have a 94, you wont have a check engine light for the cats.

I have a 94, and as soon as I drove the car around I had the check engine light come on so I figure it was that.

Thanks. For the name

MIL eliminators are for cars with 4 O2 sensors, as the rear o2's monitor catalyst efficiency, but that is only on OBD-II cars.
you do not have ODB-II, thus you don't have "rear o2's", and you cannot get a check engine light for the cats.

scan the car, don't guess.

Your car could be running lean now, I know mine did when I was running an offroad H pipe. Check and make sure all the bolts are tight because if any are loose, especially the ones before theoxygen sensors you could be getting a false lean condition reading from the O2's.
