Default cigarette lighter

ok , got my cig lighter workin, it just wasnt hooked up... so i already had a new one and just used it, kept it under the consol because only my xm will be hooked to it... just to keep **** lookin clean... but its givin me a high pitch squeel thru the speakers mimicing the engine... i know for a fact that its because of this and not the antena or somethin... so yea... wtf?

engine ground from firewall to block isn't hooked up, is it..

You may need a resister put in on the hot side, or a better ground..

btw, what needs to be done to get to the cig. lighter to get it out and replace it.

4 bolts in the back and 2 up front... removes consol...then take it out, replace it



dude, wheres that ground ur talkin about? from block to firewall? i lost my book on my car... and i could go out and look, but its rainin

Kinda o/t, my cig lighter works fine, but when I push it in it doesn't stay in, i.e. I've gotta actually hold the lighter down until it heats up. Would that be the lighter itself, or the whole unit?
