so doesnt my stock regulator have me at 40 psi at wot and isnt that where i want my aftermarket one set to at wot? im just confused why the stock regulator wont work sorry guys for being dumb but this stuffs bothering me because i just got everthing back together today and now i might have to take it all a part again because i definally dont have small hands

the stock regulator might work, but adjustable ones are better for fine tuning.
and dont just rev the car in the driveway to check WOT pressure.
get a gauge with a long enough hose so you can tape it to the windshield and drive it. must be under a load, not just free-revving.

Yes you can put in the 255 pump with the stock regulator without any problems. But once you install the super charger, and want to fine tune it, you are going to need adjustable fuel pressure, thus you must install the fpr. I did a BBK fpr on my 91 without taking off the upper intake and I had a Trick flow intake, which takes up a LOT of space under there. and I have pretty big hands..
