Default engine ground

do I need to keep the orange wire ground that comes from the computer harness if I am converting to carb? I'm keeping the harness in until I get it running, just incase I need to run a random wire to something...

Not technically, but its good to have because otherwise your relying on your motor mounts to carry the negative current to the chassis back to the batt.

get a couple big 4ga wires, or just one long one.... run it from your negative terminal, to the chassis, then right to the block
