RE: fuel injection harness ?
Got a closeup pic of the wire? actualyl a closeup followed by an overall picture would help (to show what it looks like up close then to show it's location relative to the rest of the engine bay)

RE: fuel injection harness ?
Is it the main wire harness or the injector harness? On the computer side of the salt / pepper connectors or on the engine side of it? Is it 100% orange or does it have any stripes?
There are a ****load of wires in teh engine bay. It's going to be difficult to figure out what one wire is based on such a vague description.

Wait a sec... when you say it's right where it T's off? Like in the dead center of the back of the harness before it conencts to the salt / pepper connectors? That sounds like it may be your Oxygen Sensor ground. And if that was not connected, it could cause a CEL since the car wouldn'ty be able to run properly in closed loop (due to a lack of feedback from the HEGO sensors.)
Are you sure it's cut and not just disconnected? If it's what I think it is, it wouldn't be connected to any other point in the harness. It would come out of that harness and be grounded. Look for some other aprt nearby that it would be grounded to or just try to reground it yourself and see how it runs then.
Does it run okay for 30 seconds or so when you first start it up and then run crappy? (when it tries to go from open loop to closed loop?)

The other side of the wires should be on the back of the drivers cylinder head. If you can't find it then just put a crimp connector on the end of the wire with the o end and bolt it to the back of the motor.
02 sensors normally won't cause the car to stall but when they aren't working properly it may be possible.
