KOEO / KOER / Cylinder balance test

RE: KOEO / KOER / Cylinder balance test
Just make sure you didn't run the KOEO with the transmission in gear ....that would explain code 67......clear codes again and confirm code 29 is not shown in KOEO w/out driving the car, and make sure the transmission is in neutral when you run the KOEO.....do a test drive and re-check if code 29 is logged with another KOEO after the test drive.
If there's a sensor connected to the ECM....the computer must need it for some type of calculation........the VSS and the neutral switches circuits, are used to control idle, id and determine load, and are two of the inputs that are usually overlooked........by error. Glad to read it's doing "much better now"............ LUK

Hey joel 5.0 i did an KOER test and these code poped up 41,91.33,41,91,33.I know that 41 and 91 are passenger and driverside o2 running lean . I will try it again with the car at operation temp. but what does 33 mean.

RE: KOEO / KOER / Cylinder balance test
Maybe....or an EGR valve broken vacuum line, or a broken vacuum supply line to the EVR solenoid, or a faulty EGR valve......anyway, code 33 means that you have an EGR delete courtesy of the EEC-IV system....the EGR function is bypassed/deleted due to the failure code = no associated driveability problem. Codes 41/91/.....those are "another 20 bucks"......

RE: KOEO / KOER / Cylinder balance test
so i need some o2 sensors.also i did the cyclinder balance test and cyc #2 failed the first run,it passed the second run and on the third run cyc #8 failed what does thst mean??

RE: KOEO / KOER / Cylinder balance test
Or you have the HEGO ground wire disconnected/broken/with a contact problem.....the HEGO ground is an orange wire with a ring connector that is bolted to the back of the cylinder head (driver's side).....or you have vacuum leaks, or you have low fuel pressure.....need to check all the possibilities first however, if they are old......replacing them is a good "maintenance" alternative.

RE: KOEO / KOER / Cylinder balance test
You have codes 41 & 91 (system lean) + cylinder 8, 5 and 2 low (assuming this was on the first run).....
Suggestions.....check cylinders compression, do the salt & pepper fix, LUK the results,
