along with the s/c install we did 75 mm pmas maf calibrated for my new 30# injectors, ive been having problems getting the car to run right https://mustangforums.com/m_3787376/tm.htm so we tried uplugging the maf just to see what would happen, it made the car start up and run alot better what do you guys think could be the problem

having a huge oilable filter on the end of the MAF isn't the brightest idea... first off, especially being supercharged with a draw thru design.

Sounds like you need a dyno tune.

Sounds like there's a problem with the MAF itself. Try cleaning the wires with MAS sensor cleaner.

so its possible that the new maf should be cleaned?

Wouldn't hurt to clean it or at least check the wires. Could be damaged or have some residue on it. I didn't realize that their kits came with a new MAF as well. Are you sure they sent you ne calibrated for ht right size injectors?

no i bought my maf from jdsperformance its say 30# right there on the casing and i bought my injectors from blue oval

If it's so bad that the car runs better without the MAF plugged in, then that must mean that the default tables are better than what the car is getting for fuel trim information from the MAF. Could be any number of things. Liek I said, it could be the wrong MAF. Or maybe the wrong injectors or something. I was just recently sent an X-pipe that said it was for a 1995 5.0. The packing spli and everything said that. But it was actually for a 1996 4.6L Mustang. It was labeled wrong.

The MAS wires are also VERY delicate and could have been damaged during shipping. Check to make sure both of the wires are intact. Also, like I said, make sure it's clean and doesn't have anything attached to it.

so we drove my car for about 20 miles with the maf hooked up and then ran the koeo and no codes came up but the car still doesnt run good, surging, ect.
