all of the above... stop asking such dumb questions
if you can replace it... why would you bother putting an old POS part back in?

if money was such a problem, you wouldnt be doing an H/C/I
but if you wanna half *** ****, go right ahead.. its not MY car your gonna **** up
I have bills too, but you dont see my bitching about it. Instead I work my *** off to pay for the house that I pay for, and the cars that I pay for.
My parents bought me my first car, and not a damn thing since... Hell. I never got a birthday present from them after i turned 18.
I love how you jackasses come on here, thinking you know **** about cars, then have to ask if you should change your timing chain and gears.. What kind of ****ing jackass are you?

Depending on mileage and wear it's possible to reuse your stock lifters, but if you can spare the extra hundred might as well get new ones. I'd go with some hardened pushrods, Trickflow pushrods are pretty reasonable price. After the heads and cam are installed you'll have to measure for correct pushrod length.

Ok big man, sit down, relax and breathe, son. I didn't mean to hit such a sensitive point with you.....

i replaced everything but my lifters (which had over 100k miles on them) and everything still works well, just clean them up if you can not afford new ones(like me cause im short on money to) im not pointing fingers at anyone, but sometimes you just have to relax and not get so mad
