no.. they wont work.

you either need to get a calibrated maf, or get your ECM chipped

FYI, if your car is mostly stock... dont put the 24#ers on

the answer.. again... is no

besides, if your supercharged, 24# injectors are WAY too small

no... you are better off with a lightning maf, and a dyno tune... with 42# injectors

and throw that FMU in the garbage

Why not just buy bigger injectors and a bigger MAF now? You can go to the classifieds here or on corral.net and get matched injectors and a MAF for a decent price. It seems like you are trying to work around the FMU instead of working to get rid of it. As stated above, you can grab some injectors and a MAF off a lightning truck and then simply get a chip to get it to run. It's a cheaper alternative and it will work much better.

I can only assume that you're pegging the **** out of your meter if you're blown with H/C/I. Especially running the stock 19# injectors. And again I assume you're running the 19# ones because you said you just bought 24# injectors.

Which leads me to ask... if you had stock injectors and needed something bigger, why the hell would you waste your time and money looking for 24# injectors? If you're going to replace them anyway, why not just get ones that will let you take the FMU off?

Default RE: Mass air flow meter question!!!!

i guess iam just new at the whole supercharged thing.....yea when i got my car tunned with just h/c/i dynod only 261. MURRILLO said that my biggest problem was my maf was to small. and i was miss lead on the injector size, wich i already paid for 24#ers good thing i only paid $91.00 for them. any way...i figured what that heck go ahead and use them. anything is better than stock. thats why i was trying to get a maf calibrated for 24#ers. thats why i thought c&l would work since they can be calibrated for just about any size so later all i would have to get would be bigger injectors.. so i found a maf that was from a 98 cobra only 80bucks wich i believe are calibrated for 24#ers the housing is the same, the only diffrence is the female connector. which is oval square and mine is oval. i could just get a pigtail for a 98 cobra and splice right?

iam on a budget... so bigger injectors and lightning are kinda out of SIGHT for right now.

Default RE: Mass air flow meter question!!!!

Ford MAFs aren't caliberated to the injector, the ECU is(anyone worrying about MAFs should know this). So a cobra MAF(5.0) is basically the same as a GT MAF(94-95) it is the ECU that decides the injector size, not the MAF.

I recently saw on ebay a 94/95 Cobra MAF that the guy selling stated that it was caliberated to run 24lbs injectors. I emailed him to tell him he was faulsy advertizing by saying it was caliberated for 24lbs and it would work on a GT(which it wont without a cobra ECU) and he responed to me saying it was common knowlege.......

Anyway, after market MAF trick the ECU to allowy the use of different size injectors without a tune/chip. That is where the confusion is.
