When your speedometer bounces it normally means that the guage itself is worn out. How much is it bouncing?

usaly a bouncing pin is a sigh of a worn out speedo cable, could be the speedo cluster gears inside making it bind up too... just order both from a magize. maby you should drop in one of those cool saleen speedos!!! i think its a 200mph speedo, and maby upgrade your guages to white face while your at it

The gauge itself is fine but you need to pull out the speedo cable and grease it up

that fix mine

i would be money it is the speedo off balance, it happens after a while, more common with the 140's than the 85's.... could be cable but i would doubt it, but the cable is a easier and cheaper fix, i would try that, if fails then pull out speedo.... i had one that did that and the little metal weight on the speedo was a little bent, i just straightend it about the best i could and made sure the needle was straight, put it back in and it worked like a charm..... but you could buy 140 speedo clusters off ebay for 50 bucks, give or take.... i paid 75 bucks and bought a cluster with a bbk 180mph speedo
