Default o2 sensor ? and a bolt ? to do with header install

okay doing some bbk shortys on my car they fit awsome. so for the old headers i got the driver sides headers completly off and ready for the bbk headers. now today i got all the header bolts on the passenger side unbolted and one of the bolts on the down pipe. there is a bolt rite next to the 02 sensor that i cant get off are there any tricks? and also i need two bolts for the down pipe i think that is what its called two bolts that connect headers to the rest of the exhuast what size would those be sorry for the long post but im new and need help with installs

Youare talkingabout where the headers connect to the midpipe right?

Use a swivel socket and a long extention to reach it or just pull the o2 sensor out.

If they didnt come with new bolts you could re-use the old ones or go to a parts store and try to find matching ones.

yeah i got the header bolts to bolt them to the block but then again i tried getting the 02 off with a open end wrench it would not come off at all. please someone help a brother out here

LOL noob.. you need a O2 sensor socket and a long breaker bar... go visit your local Advance Autoparts or Autozone, and get some REAL tools

ahh adder thanks for helping me out i did not kno they made a special socket for the o2 sensor i will stop at autozone on the way home

Make sure your not trying to unscrew the "bung", it is most likely welded into the pipes, if your pipes are rusted you may not see the welds, that is were the o2 sensor screws into the hole cut into the pipes. Bung, not bong K guy [8D]

Hey, I take my O2 sensors fof with a standard open ended wrench. Takes a little more effort, but I can usually replace both sensors in under 5 minutes.

A MAP gas torch may help you out too.. Heat the pipe (not the sensor) until its nice and cherry red.. THEN try it with the correct socket...
