why 331.. why not 347?

and you better not say... "because 347 strokers burn oil"

my dad was saying 347 but i was told boring out a 302 and stroking to 347 wouldnt hold up and perform to its full potential and that a 331 is perfect. im still considering the 347 but then arises my question does it make a deffrence if i bore out a h.o motor or non h.o.

thats BULL****... the only reason to build a 331 is if you have a cubic inch limit for a race class.. or if you just dont want to make as much power...
347 > 331... always

the blocks are the same, so long as you get a roller..

lol, all you'll need is the proper bolt ons which includes upgrading fuel system and a tune, and 347 won't be a problem, totally streetable. Adder know his ****, at least that's what I see on this site. I'm gonna have a shop build up a 347 short block for me and then I'll do the rest. Stroker motor will require making clearance to the block for the internals.
