1979 into 1989

I have a quetion for anyone who would like to answer. I have a 79 5.0 mustang and recently aquired a rotted out 89 5.0. Is it posible to convert my 79 into an 89 or do i need a 83 and newer car to start with?

very possible but it will require alot of work and a wire harness swap if you want the 79 to be fuel injected

you could use the 89 motor and make it carbed. that would prolly be a bit easier

Its winter and i have all the time in the world. My 79 needed painted anywhay so i stripped it to nothing and my last 89 gt i hid the harness on so not worried about that just wondering if i needed to look for anything specific. The radiator support is the only thing i have found so far that has to be changed.
