She started running rich :(
On the way to school today i noticed the engine consumes twice as much as gas as usual, it took me half of an eighth of a tank to get to school now it takes a whole eighth to get there and another to get back, quarter tank??? i also noticed a huge drop in power, i was used to just touching the pedal and flying now i kinda have to wait, wtf!!!!!!??
why is she running so rich all of a sudden, this started today!
O2 sensors are less than a year old, fuel pressure is at 41-42 which is normal for me. i dont understand whats going on.

no it doesnt sound any different really,
but this morning i washed my filter and dried it with a blower and put it back on, could that have done anything to the MAF sensor? it idles ok though so i dont know if the MAF is involved... i really cant figure this one out.

I sprayed carb cleaner all over the engine bay and on the vacuum lines, idle didnt change. so i dont know why the car is running so rich, only thing i can think of are the O2 sensors malfunctioning, maybe the wiring under there came loose. i dont know what else it could be really.

hmm could it be the RTV sealant i used last month to install the manifold. maybe its not O2 sensor safe, but would it take a whole month to show up? i drove her every day for hours and this never occured...
i ran the codes
i got code 54, 31, 85
31 and 85 have been there for months, just EGR bull****.
code 54 is the new code its weird, the book says
"Vane air flow sensor or air charge temperature sensor"
straight from the haynes manual, i didnt know we had air charge temp sensors in the 5.0s. whats this mean?

i checked the MAF just now and the resistors are intact. it seems to work fine since the car idles ok and revs ok.
i am suspecting its the O2s, but what could have caused it?
if its the RTV sealant, than when i buy new sensors will this happen again? the sealant will foul those ones too... i dont want to have to reinstall the manifold with new sealant that would be a bish..
