Default Help me find a 12v Key on source.

I am installing my Snow Methanol kit and need to connect the module to a +12v key on source that has a 25 AMP fuse. I am not very good with electrical so I have no clue where I could find this source. Anyone have any suggestions for me? Thanks!

grab a test light and open the fuse box up and turn the key on and touch the test light to the top of the fuse where metal shows and switch key on and off testing each fuse until you find one that is switch 12 v with proper amperage

Sounds easy enough. How do I connect to it once I find it?

I have an 87 GT...fuse box is located to the left of the steering column. I have some aftermarket gauges that light up. I ran the 12v bulb wire to the 20amp fuse for the radio. Turn the key on, lights come on. It's not too hard. You can probably do the same thing. Find a 25amp fuse in the fuse box and strip the wire down, pull the fuse, put the wire in the hole and push the fuse in. The metal prongs on the fuse should push the wire into the clasps and the wire will be secured. Voila.

there is an easier and neater way ......Napa or your local parts store sells a tap a fuse spade that slips over the terminal of the fuse you wish to tap off of..you slide it on and push the fuse back in place and on top of the fuse is now a spade where you can use a crimp on connector with a matching female end

Pushing the wire and fuse in is actually pretty easy....for me anyways You could always go to the back of the fuse box and splice wires....for a cleaner setup.
