What is the difference between the 4-6-8 cylinder t5's? If you put a 4cyl t5 are you going to granade it? Just wondering, you see all these different t5's around.

I'mpretty surethe 4 banger t-5 will bolt up to a v8 but I don't think it can handle as much power...not sure why though

I seen one out of a turbo coupe thats why I was wondering. Just trying to learn the ropes of the ford world. I have always had chevy's or dodges.

to use a 4 cyl tranny in a 5.0 you must change the pilot bearing to a smaller one......pilot tip on a 4cyl t-5 is smaller and torque capacity is rated at less but I've used a 4 cyl t-5 in a 5.0 for a short while with no probs and 4 cyl t-5's have a closer ratio between shifts
