i have recently made the following mods to my 88gt.....24lb injectors, 75mm maf, rebuild stock heads, 190 fuel pump, mac equal length headers, new h pipe with 2 cats instead of 4 and flowmaster american thunder exhaust.......before all of these i had a trickflow upper and lower intake, convereted it to mass air,70mm throttle body, and cold air intake and it ran fine, now i lost almsot all throttle responce, and i think it is backfiring near the throttle body....please helpmeguys i wanna kill myself when my car is like this

Thats what i was thinking... MAke sure you have the HO firing order ( 351 firing order) and not the 302 firing order...

The dist. may also be 180 degrees out...

you probably have plug wires 5&6 crossed on the dizzy.... i did the same thing

ya me too it sounded the same thing as you explained. When you take the wires off you have to remeber to label each one that you take off. It will save you alot of trouble in the long run. Hope it is the wires or destributer for ya

why the 24lb injectors? thats a lil much for what you have

thanks guys i switched the wires you were right and as soon as i started the car up i knew it was that...it runs like dream now i really appricate the help i was really depressed....as for the 24lb pound injectors its just prep work for the nitrous

i ran #24 injectors for a long time with my only mods being an ecam and it was fine- they were on there when i got the car. They were overkill but now their destiny has been fulfilled with heads,intake, maf, etc. that I have now.
