I was always told 180 degrees on the EEC-IV.

i just replaced mine witha 160 is that too drastic, what is a good one for the 5.0s?

According to Joel's EFI do's and don'ts, you don't want to go below 180* on the thermostat.

alright because my car doesnt move above the second mark on my temp guage. so i might need to go back and get a 180 this will be the third thermostat ive replaced in almost 2 weeks the first one wasnt working and now i went 160 and considering 180...if the car runs too cold will that effect gas mileage?

I put a 180 in last month and now I'm running a lot hotter. Would the stat casue that?
