Default lookin for decent tq... lets talk boost...

ok, so the new h/c/i is fun and all, but it doesnt have the ***, or torque that im lookin for... dont get me wrong its bad *** and all, but yea its gotta be faster... and nitrous doesnt do the trick anymore, its boring too

which leads me to my question... which route and why

centri... higher hp... faster... about 1k(used, i know a few ppl)
kb... bad *** tq... less 1/4 time then the centri... and like 3k...
or turbo... which someone can school me on(R.BARN!!!!!)...

yea i know the kb gets alota heat soak... but i look at it this way, yea i like drag racing and all, but its a daily driver... ill take more SOTP feeling for .2 off my 1/4 runs...

and turbo, i dont know much about... if i did it id wanna do it on the cheap...not some 4k kit... i have access to a welder and all the fun ****.

i dont really wanna do a stroker, i just finnished this motor...

so ideas? thoughts ? opinions? 1st hand...

How does forced induction work with speed density? What size shot do you have now? I'm guessing but you are making 270-290rwhp, up the jets to 200 or so. You'll still be in the safe zone for a stock block and I bet that will liven things up! LOL!

You can do a decent single turbo kit relativley cheaply if you can weld. The main exspenses would be the turbo (ebay has some good used ones all the time for decent prices, check out the larger holset turbos of Cummins turbo deisels) You can get an intercooler of ebay that is of a very good quality (treadstone is one of the brands) the rest would be fabing exhaust pies/ charge pipes. Your other expenses would be fuel requirements and tuning(standalonecomputer, megasquirt is cheapest) Plus you can always get a bigger turbo or change boost settings as your setup changes and improves.

with the 3 usual recommended kits, you'll see around 450-500rwtq. i'd think thats a good SOTP feel. i personally dont have any experience with them but i've read up on them and they seem to be great. haven't seen anything bad written bout them... if you dont remember which ones they are; Quicktime...PonyDown...BGTurboKits. to lazy to give you links sorry

Put a KB on that stang. A turbo would kick ***, but imo
all that plumbing is too much of a hassle.
