Question bout Fox weatherstripping
Hey guys,
I looked at a fox today and it seems perfect. It needs some work here and there but nothin to major. The main thing was that the weather stripping was startin to show it's age so I may replace that. So outa curiosity, how hard is it to replace? Also what should I search for for this section of weather stripping...
It's the area inside the green. Around that window. I can't seem to find that section.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Tony

RE: Question bout Fox weatherstripping
They have covers you can buy to put over the 1/4 window molding, but it doesn't look very nice. The covers are around 100 bucks i think. Other than buying new ones the only thing you can do isrefinish those.

RE: Question bout Fox weatherstripping
I just found this while browsing ebay...

Seems legit to me.
Edit:I think there more of a cover to go over the old moldings. Still seems like an improvement.

Heres some steeda ones that seem like they would look pretty good. Imo anything would look better then the stock pitted ones. If I do replace the window though i'de like to replace it with the early 80's style that had those fake little vent things. lol I think those are awesome looking. Anyone know if they fit the later style?

RE: Question bout Fox weatherstripping
I actually think I still have the passenger rear quarter from my 86 and the louvers from when I swapped mine to the 87-93 quarter windows. The driver side window broke when I took it out. It's not a direct swap. The interior rear panel is different since the 87-93 window is on the outside and the 79-86 is on the inside of the body sheet metal. When you upgrade the 79-86 windows to the 87-93 quarter windows there's a gap between the trim panel and window so I'd imagin if you go other way with it you'd have to cut to fit your trim panel.

Ah forget it then. lol I'll just stick with the 87-93 ones. Before I replace the window though i'll try out some covers. I'm not too picky just as long as it don't look entirely ****ty. lol
