how do you get dizzy??? you turn round and round!!! what does a distributor do?? it turns round and round!!!...anyway....and there is no such thing as a 75 dizzy with duraspark II ordered with a steel gear.....that option wasn't until the first 302 production roller block in 85........so order a 85 distributor for a 5 speed car with the steel gear...only the 5 speed cars were 4 v h.o= roller cam equipped motors which had duraspark II

He may be converting from FI to carb, and from the TFI dizzy, to the Duraspark II???. I'm going to do the same thing on my 89. I converted from a points dizzy to a Duraspark on my 74 F250 (using a GM style ignition module from Accel), and it has performedflawlessly for the last 2 years. $70 bucks for a rebuilt Duraspark, and $40 bucks for the module, add a 50,000 volt performance coil, and you've got a good street/strip ignition good to 7000rpm for less than the MSD distributor alone. Not for an all out race car, but a great low budget ignition system for a carb conversion. Personally I stay away fromthe Ford style Duraspark ignition boxes, as the aftermarket ones are problematic (thefactory Ford box is pretty good, but good luck finding one of them).

Are the heads stock?, if the answer is yes, you probably won't be happy with that cam/head combo. The better choice would be a set of GT40s first, cam second. In fact, the GT40s with 1.7 rockers and the stock cam will perform better than the stock e7s with an ecam. Just another opinion.
